Installation Instructions
For Information on Professional Installation companies of the Hallett Gutter Cover ®, email: installation@guttercovercanada.com
| Make sure the gutter has proper pitch. We recommend 1 inch per 30 feet of gutter. |
Ends of Gutter
At the end of the gutter it is important to bend the cover down into the gutter
on the inside of the end cap, leaving no openings. This will keep birds and
debris from getting into the gutter. Trimming of the cover will be necessary.
Outside Corners
Determine the angle of the corner and cut cover to match allowing ½ inch
(.5") overlap of the corners and screw together.
Inside Corners and Roof Valleys
Inside corners and all valleys need a deflector to insure no water run off.
The deflector is the best way of installing an inside corner.
Determine the angle of the corner and cut cover to match allowing ½ inch
(.5") overlap of the cover. Cut the deflector out of a piece of Hallett
Gutter Cover ® bend into an L, trim and bend to fit the angle of the corner.
Seal between deflector and cover and screw in place.
NOTE: Place clips so deflector extends past clips.
HINT: Screen may be used in place of deflector for inside corners. It
is recommended to use the deflector to insure proper water flow.
Very Steep or Flat Roofs
Depending on the gutter installation the cover may need to be bent up or down
where the cover meets the roof for a better fit and to allow the shingles to
lay flat. The pitch of the roof will not effect the ability of how Hallett Gutter
Cover ® will work.
Annual Check
To avoid run over or other problems, an annual check of the gutter is suggested
to see everything is working properly.
| Warranty is void if installation of Hallett Gutter Cover ® is improper. |
